Export Supply Chain Management
Export products to China involve a lot of operation processes performed by a lot of different parties, including shipper, consignee, forwarders, brokers, and carriers, etc. Each party may have multiple processes performed by different internal business departments. The interaction and interrelation of the processes make the whole supply chain complicated, especially when a lot of parties are at the other side of the globe.
Some exporters may not care about this complexity and take no proactive measures, however they struggle about production delay, shipment delay, uncertainty, mistakes, and emergency. Their overall supply chain performance is low. On the other hand, those importers that take initiative to learn and control their supply chain would excel in their overall business performance.
We have had many years of experience helping small and medium sized US importers to enhance their supply chain visibility, control, performance and continuous improvement. We have accumulated great insight of the detail operation processes of each supply china members, from purchase order issuing to the goods arrived in the importer's warehouse. Our supply chain solutions are in two functions: 1) PO Management - managing visibility, control and operation on production and shipment; and 2) Logistics Management - managing visibility, control and operation for forwarders, brokers, ocean/air carriers, truckers, and warehouses of both origin and destination. Obviously these two functions are often related. Purchasing department would like to see the status of a purchase order, while logistics department need to plan for the arrival of the goods.
